- 1 small onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced

- 1 1/2 cups grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions
- Melt butter in a large pot over medium heat. Add onions and cook until translucent.
- Stir in garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add broth and bring to a simmer.
- Reduce heat to low and stir in heavy cream and Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley and extra Parmesan, with crusty bread if desired.
Notes
Use freshly grated Parmesan for best flavor. Feel free to add cooked chicken or vegetables for variation. Keep the heat gentle when adding cream to prevent curdling.
