- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup unsalted butter, chilled
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/4 cup corn syrup
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 large eggs
- 1 1/2 cups pecans, chopped
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking pan with parchment paper.
- Mix flour, powdered sugar, and salt. Cut in chilled butter until crumbly. Press into the bottom of the prepared pan.
- Bake crust for 15-20 minutes until golden.
- In a saucepan, combine brown sugar, corn syrup, and salt. Bring to a boil, then remove from heat.
- Whisk in eggs until smooth. Stir in pecans.
- Pour filling over baked crust. Bake for another 20-25 minutes until set.
- Allow to cool before slicing into bars. Serve and enjoy!
Notes
- Ensure butter is chilled for a flaky crust.
- Can substitute chopped walnuts or almonds for pecans.
- Best served after cooling to room temperature.
