  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup whiskey
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add chicken breasts and cook until golden brown on both sides. Remove and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, add chopped onion and minced garlic, sauté until fragrant.
  3. Pour whiskey into the skillet, scraping the bottom to deglaze. Cook for 2-3 minutes to reduce slightly.
  4. Add heavy cream and Dijon mustard, stir well. Simmer until sauce thickens.
  5. Return chicken to the skillet, spoon sauce over, and cook for another 5 minutes.
  6. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

  • You can substitute whiskey with apple cider for a milder flavor.
  • Serve with mashed potatoes or steamed vegetables.
