- 4 boneless chicken breasts
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup whiskey
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add chicken breasts and cook until golden brown on both sides. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add chopped onion and minced garlic, sauté until fragrant.
- Pour whiskey into the skillet, scraping the bottom to deglaze. Cook for 2-3 minutes to reduce slightly.
- Add heavy cream and Dijon mustard, stir well. Simmer until sauce thickens.
- Return chicken to the skillet, spoon sauce over, and cook for another 5 minutes.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
- You can substitute whiskey with apple cider for a milder flavor.
- Serve with mashed potatoes or steamed vegetables.
