Instructions
- Mix dry ingredients in a bowl. In a separate bowl, combine buttermilk, egg, and melted butter.
- Pour wet ingredients into dry and mix until just combined.
- Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and lightly grease.
- Drop spoonfuls of batter onto the skillet, add a small spoonful of syrup in the center, and cover with more batter.
- Cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 2-3 minutes per side.
- Serve warm with melted butter and extra syrup.
