Instructions
- Preheat oven to 450°F (232°C).
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add sliced onions, sugar, salt, and pepper. Cook slowly for 25-30 minutes until caramelized.
- Spread the caramelized onions evenly over the pizza crust.
- Sprinkle grated Gruyere cheese on top.
- Bake in the oven for 12-15 minutes until cheese is bubbly and crust is golden.
- Garnish with fresh thyme and drizzle with balsamic glaze before serving.
