- 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
- 1 cup warm milk
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
- Activate yeast by combining warm milk, a teaspoon of sugar, and yeast. Let sit until frothy, about 5 minutes.
- In a large bowl, mix flour, remaining sugar, and salt. Add the yeast mixture and melted butter, knead until smooth.
- Allow dough to rise in a warm place until doubled in size, about 1 hour.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Divide dough into 12 equal pieces and shape into rolls.
- Place rolls on a greased baking sheet. Mix minced garlic with a tablespoon of melted butter and brush over rolls.
- Sprinkle shredded cheese over the top and bake for 15-18 minutes or until golden brown and cheese is bubbly.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the garlic butter.
- Serve warm with a side of marinara or salad.
