  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
  2. In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in brown sugar and salt, bringing to a boil.
  3. Cook for about 10 minutes, stirring constantly until the mixture reaches 300°F (hard crack stage).
  4. Remove from heat; stir in vanilla and nuts.
  5. Pour the hot toffee onto the prepared baking sheet and spread evenly.
  6. Let cool for 10 minutes, then sprinkle chocolate chips on top and let sit for a few minutes to melt.
  7. Spread melted chocolate smoothly over the toffee and cool completely until hardened.
