- 1 pound Italian sausage
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 1 (9-ounce) package refrigerated tortellini
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- In a skillet, cook sausage over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Add chopped onion and garlic; cook until translucent.
- Transfer sausage mixture to the crockpot. Add chicken broth and Italian seasoning.
- Cook on low for 4 hours.
- Add tortellini during the last 30 minutes of cooking.
- Stir in mozzarella cheese and season with salt and pepper.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.
