Ingredients
Scale
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to spice preference)
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
- ½ cup heavy cream or coconut milk for a dairy-free option
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Pat the chicken breasts dry and season generously with salt, pepper, and Cajun spice mix (smoked paprika, cayenne, thyme, oregano, garlic powder). Rub spices evenly onto each piece.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken breasts for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium. Add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant. Pour in the heavy cream, stirring constantly, and simmer until the sauce slightly thickens.
- Return the chicken to the skillet, spooning sauce over the top. Cook for an additional 2 minutes to meld flavors. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.
Notes
- You can substitute coconut milk for heavy cream to make this recipe dairy-free.
- Adjust cayenne pepper for desired spice level.
- For extra flavor, marinate chicken with spices for an hour before cooking.
