Perfect for busy weeknights, this healthy dish combines lean turkey with colorful peppers and a zesty sauce for a wholesome, satisfying dinner that comes together in minutes.

  • Total Time: 25 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 2 large bell peppers (red and yellow), sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil or sesame oil
  • Fresh cilantro or green onions for garnish (optional)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground turkey and cook, breaking it apart with a spatula, until browned and cooked through, about 5–7 minutes. Season with salt and black pepper.
  2. Add sliced onions and peppers to the skillet. Cook for 3–4 minutes until they soften slightly. Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes, cooking for another minute until fragrant.
  3. Pour in soy sauce and oyster sauce (if using). Stir well to combine and coat everything evenly. Let it simmer for a couple of minutes to meld flavors.
  4. Remove from heat and garnish with chopped green onions or cilantro. Serve hot over rice or noodles for a complete meal.
