Ingredients
Scale
- 1 store-bought or homemade pizza dough
- 1 cup marinara sauce or pizza sauce
- 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup pepperoni slices or your favorite meats
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Olive oil for greasing
- Fresh basil or parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a mini muffin tin with olive oil. Roll out your pizza dough and use a cookie cutter or a glass to cut out small circles that fit into the muffin tin cups.
- Place each dough circle into the muffin cups, pressing gently to form a pocket. Spoon about a teaspoon of marinara sauce into each dough cup, then sprinkle with shredded mozzarella cheese. Add pepperoni slices or other toppings, then sprinkle with Italian seasoning.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the crust edges are golden brown and the cheese is bubbly. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before garnishing with fresh basil or parsley.
Notes
- Brush the dough with olive oil before baking for an extra crispy crust.
- Use high-quality shredded cheese to ensure rich flavor.
- Avoid overloading toppings to prevent sogginess.
- Make ahead: Store cooled Pizza Cupcakes in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days and reheat in a toaster oven or oven at 350°F (175°C).
