- 1 pack of wonton wrappers
- 8 oz ground chicken or pork
- 2 scallions, chopped
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup sliced mushrooms
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 inch ginger, grated
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Prepare the filling by mixing ground meat, scallions, soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic, salt, and pepper.
- Place a small spoonful of filling in each wonton wrapper and seal the edges.
- Bring chicken broth to a boil in a large pot, add mushrooms, garlic, and ginger.
- Gently drop wontons into the boiling broth and cook for 4-5 minutes until they float and are cooked through.
- Serve hot, garnished with additional scallions and herbs.
Notes
- For added flavor, include bok choy or spinach in the broth.
- Wontons can be frozen before cooking for longer storage.
