Ingredients

  • 8 oz ground chicken or pork
  • 2 scallions, chopped
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 inch ginger, grated
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare the filling by mixing ground meat, scallions, soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic, salt, and pepper.
  2. Place a small spoonful of filling in each wonton wrapper and seal the edges.
  3. Bring chicken broth to a boil in a large pot, add mushrooms, garlic, and ginger.
  4. Gently drop wontons into the boiling broth and cook for 4-5 minutes until they float and are cooked through.
