  • 8 slices of bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup diced onions
  • 1/2 cup diced pickles
  • 1/4 cup ketchup (low sugar)
  • 2 tbsp mustard
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • Optional: chopped fresh parsley or chives for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Cook the bacon until crispy, crumble and set aside. Dice the onions. Season the ground meat with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat, then stir in diced onions, ketchup, and mustard. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  3. Layer the cooked meat mixture evenly in a baking dish. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top, followed by crumbled bacon and pickles. Add extra cheese if desired.
  4. Bake for 20-25 minutes until bubbly and melted. Garnish with fresh herbs before serving.
