Ingredients
Scale
- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- Optional: 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or chocolate chips for added texture
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan with butter or non-stick spray. Mash the bananas in a bowl until smooth.
- In a large bowl, combine melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla. Whisk until blended. Add mashed bananas and mix well.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to wet ingredients, folding gently until just combined.
- Pour batter into prepared loaf pan. If desired, sprinkle chopped walnuts or chocolate chips on top.
- Bake for 60-70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack. Cool completely before slicing.
Notes
- Ensure bananas are ripe for maximum sweetness and flavor.
- Do not overmix the batter to keep the bread moist and tender.
- For added flavor, sprinkle additional nuts or chocolate chips before baking.
- This banana bread can be stored at room temperature for 2 days or refrigerated for up to a week.
- Wrap slices in plastic wrap before freezing for future enjoyment.
