- 1 pound Italian sausage or ground beef
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 (28-ounce) can crushed tomatoes
- 4 cups beef or chicken broth
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 8 ounces lasagna pasta, broken into pieces
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Fresh basil for garnish
Instructions
- Brown the sausage or beef in a skillet, then transfer to the crockpot.
- Add diced onion, garlic, crushed tomatoes, broth, and Italian seasoning to the crockpot. Stir well.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours.
- In the last 30 minutes, add broken lasagna noodles and stir to combine.
- Serve hot topped with mozzarella, Parmesan, and fresh basil.
Notes
Ensure pasta is added towards the end to prevent overcooking. Customize with your favorite cheese or vegetables for variation.
