  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb (450g) ground beef (preferably grass-fed)
  • 4 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup sour cream or Greek yogurt
  • 1/4 cup chopped pickles (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh lettuce or tomato for topping (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain excess fat if necessary. Stir in the chopped onion and minced garlic, cooking until fragrant and tender.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the cooked beef mixture, crumbled bacon, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Add the sour cream or Greek yogurt and mix well to keep the dish creamy and flavorful.
  3. Transfer the meat mixture into a greased baking dish. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the top. Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 15-20 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  4. Once out of the oven, garnish with fresh lettuce or tomato slices if desired. Serve hot for a satisfying low-carb meal. For added flavor, serve with a side of roasted vegetables or a fresh salad.

Notes

  • Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
