Ingredients
Scale
- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- ½ cup honey
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- Optional: chopped nuts or chocolate chips for added texture
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan and set aside. Mash the ripe bananas in a bowl until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together eggs, melted butter, honey, and vanilla extract.
- Add the mashed bananas to the wet mixture and stir until well combined.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, mixing gently. Add nuts or chocolate chips if desired.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Bake for about 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- Make sure bananas are ripe for maximum sweetness and flavor.
- Do not overmix the batter to keep the bread fluffy.
- For extra moistness, consider adding a tablespoon of Greek yogurt to the batter.
- Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or refrigerate for up to a week.
