Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, espresso powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In a large bowl, mash bananas until smooth. Add melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract. Mix well.
- Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Stir in chocolate chips if using.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
- Bake for 60-70 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
