- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/2 cup bourbon whiskey
- 1/4 cup honey or brown sugar
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch mixed with water (for thickening)
Instructions
- Combine soy sauce, bourbon, honey, garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes in a slow cooker.
- Add chicken pieces and toss to coat.
- Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours or on high for 2-3 hours until chicken is tender.
- Stir in the cornstarch mixture and cook for an additional 10 minutes to thicken the sauce.
- Serve hot over rice or with your favorite sides.

- Adjust bourbon amount for preferred flavor intensity.
- Can be broiled for a few minutes after cooking for a caramelized finish.
