Ingredients
Scale
- 8 oz spaghetti or your favorite pasta
- 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Bring a large salted pot of water to a boil. Cook pasta until al dente, then drain and set aside.
- Peel and devein the shrimp if not already done. Mince garlic and chop parsley.
- Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add shrimp, season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Cook 2-3 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove and set aside.
- Add remaining 1 tbsp olive oil to the same skillet. Sauté garlic until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
- Pour in heavy cream, stir continuously, then add Parmesan cheese and lemon juice. Season with additional salt and pepper if needed. Simmer for 2-3 minutes until sauce thickens slightly.
- Add cooked pasta and shrimp back into the skillet. Toss gently to coat everything in the sauce and heat through. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
Notes
- Adjust seasoning and garlic amount according to your taste preferences.
- For a healthier version, use half-and-half instead of heavy cream.
- Serve immediately for the best texture and flavor.
