Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan with butter or non-stick spray.
- In a large mixing bowl, mash the bananas thoroughly. Add the granulated sugar, brown sugar, and melted butter. Mix well.
- Incorporate the eggs one at a time, ensuring each is fully combined. Stir in vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon. Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined without overmixing.
- Combine 2 tablespoons of sugar with 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon in a small bowl to make the cinnamon sugar mixture.
- Pour half of the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Sprinkle evenly with the cinnamon sugar mixture. Spread the remaining batter over the top. Use a knife or skewer to swirl through the batter, creating a cinnamon swirl pattern.
- Bake for 60-70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- Allow the banana bread to cool completely before storing to prevent sogginess.
- Wrap tightly in plastic wrap or foil to keep fresh; store at room temperature for up to 2 days or refrigerate for up to a week.
- For longer storage, freeze individual slices wrapped in plastic in a sealed freezer bag.
