Instructions
- Start by seasoning your chicken cubes generously with salt, pepper, and paprika. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt 1 tablespoon of butter, then add the chicken pieces. Cook until they are golden brown and cooked through, approximately 5-7 minutes. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter. Once melted, sauté the chopped onion until translucent, about 3 minutes. Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute until fragrant.
- Pour in the heavy cream, stirring well to combine with the aromatics. Add dried thyme or Italian seasoning, and season with salt and pepper to taste. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly.
- Put the cooked chicken back into the skillet, stirring to coat the pieces evenly with the creamy sauce. Let everything simmer together for another 5 minutes to meld the flavors. Finish with a squeeze of lemon and garnish with fresh parsley or cilantro.
