Ingredients
Scale
- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- (Optional) 1/2 cup chopped nuts or chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan with butter or non-stick spray, or line it with parchment paper.
- Mash the ripe bananas in a large bowl until smooth. Add melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla, whisking until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually fold into the wet ingredients without overmixing.
- If desired, fold in chopped nuts or chocolate chips for added texture.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top. Bake for 60-70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Check at 60 minutes to prevent overbaking.
- Allow to cool for 15 minutes in the pan, then transfer to a wire rack. Slice and serve warm or at room temperature.
Notes
- For extra moisture, consider substituting Greek yogurt for some of the butter.
- Ripe bananas ensure natural sweetness and enhanced flavor.
- To prevent overbaking, start checking for doneness at 60 minutes.
